About Badweather Supply
Born from Necessity. Built by Hand.
Badweather Supply didn't start in a boardroom or a design studio. It started in my basement appartment back in 2014 out of pure necessity.
I was prepping for a motorcycle trip and needed rugged, dependable luggage to pack my gear. Everything on the market was either generic, cheaply made, or entirely out of my price range. So, leaning into a lifelong DIY attitude, I decided to make my own. I bought some heavy canvas, a hide of leather, and figured out how to run an old industrial sewing machine.
That first trip changed everything. The gear held up, minus the one fire, and the obsession with raw materials and traditional utility took root.
For the next few years, I buried myself in the craft. I moved away from the speed of machines and transitioned to the slow, deliberate art of hand-sewing. I learned that a hand-done traditional lockstitch using heavy waxed thread creates a bond that machine manufacturing simply cannot replicate. In 2019, I officially launched the brand to share those goods with people who appreciated the same no-nonsense durability.
The Road Ahead
After taking a few years off to reset, focus, and refine my process, Badweather Supply is officially back.
Today, the shop is a boutique built around a distinct lifestyle: motorcycles, open roads, camping, and a relentless DIY attitude. The name Badweather is a reminder of a lesson you only learn with experience; you can’t control the elements, so you might as well gear up, lean into the wind, and make the absolute best out of whatever life throws at you.
Every single wallet, bag, and leather component we sell is meticulously crafted by hand, one at a time. No shortcuts, no cheap fillers, and no compromises. Just heirloom-quality gear built to survive the ride.
Thanks for being here and supporting independent craft. Pack your bags, keep on rolling, and welcome to Badweather.
